Life Coach Megan Ashley

Megan Ashley

I have always loved to listen and help people, so I decided to make a career out of it. The last few years of my life have been so transformative, it reminds me of the very cliche’ saying “If I can do this, ANYONE can…” If I can fall back in love with myself, learn to trust my intuition, and start living the life of my dreams, with the right support, you can too.

Between witnessing my mother’s murder, surviving attempted murder, living with PTSD/anxiety/depression, going through a tough divorce, quitting a career that no longer served me, coming out of the closet (and going back in, several times)… I have a vast amount of life experiences that have shaped me and my thought patterns. There were times I felt that I would never be peaceful or happy again. As your life coach I cannot be the one to make you happy/peaceful (or any other desired feeling you may have), but I can be there guiding you as you take the journey for yourself. It doesn’t matter where you are beginning in your journey or what you have been through so far- I will meet you where you are and help you overcome what is holding you back. I started training with a coaching company accredited by the International Coach Federation in early 2017, and attend weekly classes and mentor calls to gain inspiration and knowledge on the coaching industry and practices.

Every week I look forward to time with my own life coach. She has helped me work through my blocks and time management issues, and I count on her as someone who I trust and can be vulnerable with, but who remains able to give me an unbiased opinion. She knows me well enough now to be able to stand in my corner and cheer me on when I need it, but can also give me tough love and the hard truths that I need to hear, depending on the situation. It is a relationship different from any other human I have in my life and adds tremendous value to my week. Before working with my own coach I was confused on who would need a life coach, and what do coaches actually do. These are very common questions, so let me help clarify.

Who needs a life coach?

Anyone who feels stuck, needs help making an important decision or change, or continually asking themselves “now what?” I personally started working with a life coach in the middle of my self-love journey to aide me with finding my voice and creativity once more. You could be looking for a coach for any reason, or feel called to find a coach without a specific reason in mind that you have yet to discover. You do not have to come with a specific request, only be willing to dig for it once we get there.

What will we do together?

Like most things in life, there is no one-size-fits-all approach to coaching. Each person is different and requires a different style. With that being said, we will plan out our time together and set goals. We will dig deep into the requests you bring up and figure out how to move past them or work through them, and what you need from me along the way to serve you best throughout your process. I will ask you some tough questions and give you my reflections when appropriate. This is *you* focused, so these things will fall into place once we get to know each other better.

I work with clients one-on-one, over the telephone, and for an hour at a time. You will have access to me via email and text during our time together, and Skype is available if requested.
